Marking the demise and planned regeneration of the Eastman Dental Hospital and Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, for UCLH Arts & Heritage, this project explores the narratives of former patients and staff, using sound to explore memories and place through field recording, acoustic composition and oral histories through a series of guided sound walks.
·
Participants were taken around the former building with headphones on, hearing the space come to life with the narratives of the former employees and patients.
The work was further showcased at the international oral history conference.
